Information about the Romulan border used in the "Border Patrol" storyline. Information is constantly being added through the various mission arcs.

The System

- The Romulan Star Empire takes up most of the upper part of the Beta Quadrant. It contains many worlds and stars. The primary Worlds are Romulus and Remus. Romulus being the seat of the empire, Remus being a source of raw materials in the form of ore and labor in the form of forced labor camps.

- The Romulans are surrounded by the Federation and the Klingon Empire. At once time the Klingons and the Romulans had an alliance sharing technologies. But the two races found that they could not maintain that alliace, their differences lead to many battles.

- The Romulan border is located approximately 10 days at high warp from McKinley Station to its closest point.

Space activity

- There are no known anomalies in the area. In fact, the system is not much known by SF. The system is rarely visited by ships that are just using the space to pass through, it is used as a shipping lane for the mining operations in the system. The Romulans use cloaking technology to keep their ships hidden. With artificial gravity well power cores used they can maintain a cloak for long periods of time. All that is know about ship movements is gathered by long range sensors or intelligence personnel...neither are sources that are very reliable.

Planet Megara

-Little is known about the planet Romulus itself. Best rumor says it is a cooler more foliated version of Vulcan. However anyone verturing into Romulan space rarely returns so information.

Note: This is not cannon information as official Star Trek information about Megara and its inhabitants is rather rare. This information was created for the purpose of the game while using from information found online from the TNG novel featuring Megara.
